Women of all shapes and sizes often complain that they have nothing to wear. This isn’t really true. It just seems that way when you look in your closet. Pregnant women, on the other hand, often have nothing to wear. When you’re six months pregnant and look like a overstuffed teddy bear and stand in front of a closet full of clothes that don’t fit you anymore, it is time to run to the nearest maternity store.
Motherhood Maternity Store is the first retail chain that comes to my mind when thinking about shopping for maternity clothes. I guess that the name makes it stick out in my memory. This maternity store is found in most malls and outlet stores across the United States and it is one of the best around.

The quality of the clothing is outstanding. Some of the garments make me wish I were having another baby. However, I found that this store tends to run garments on the small side. If you have a bigger bottom, you may find it difficult to find pants that fit your legs and rear in this maternity store. Nevertheless, there are so many other garments available that it will be worth the trip.

You can also visit your local department stores. Most department chains offer a small section of the building a maternity store within a store. Retailers like J.C. Penny and Kaufmann’s have some clothes for pregnant women. Even Sears offers the special clothing.

I have found that selection is very limited in these kinds of mall stores, but I have found a few priceless pieces that got me through my pregnancy in style. It took a little extra time traveling from retailer to retailer just to find a few items that suited me, but I really couldn’t imagine wearing anything else, especially during the last few months.

Department store giants like Wal-Mart and Target each contain an in-house maternity store for expectant mothers. However, you can’t expect much. Most of the merchandise in this kind of maternity store is limited to a couple of shirts, a few pants and some bras and panties. Choice is limited.

The greatest maternity store I’ve found is on the Internet through the website onlinematernitymall.com. This site offers online shopping that is so welcome to a woman who is expecting. Nothing is more appealing than shopping from home when you are pregnant. The bonus is you can find just about any maternity store without all of the running around.
